The Property Department is here to support parishes, clergy, staff, and volunteers in managing and maintaining the Diocese’s properties, including rental properties. To help, ensure that legal obligations are met and reducing the administrative burden on volunteers and clergy. By providing this support, the team allows everyone to focus on their mission and ministries without being overburdened by property responsibilities.
The department carries out site visits, health and safety audits, and follow-up checks, providing guidance so parishes meet their legal obligations and maintain properties to a high standard.
The Property Department can also help parishes access additional funding through grants, further supporting the upkeep and improvement of parish building. By providing this support, the Property Department helps parishes thrive and ensures that buildings remain welcoming, safe, and fit for purpose.
