Living as a Catholic
Faith, as explained in Hebrews 11:1 “…is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen”; the word is rooted in the Latin fides, “to trust” and as Catholics we place our trust in the teachings of Jesus Christ and the salvation offered through his life, death, and resurrection.
We as Catholics participate in a sacramental life, marked with rites such as Baptism, Eucharist, and the act of Reconciliation, all are seen as tangible channels of God’s grace and ways in which God’s love is shared throughout our lives.
The Church emphasises both Scripture and Tradition, guided by the teaching authority of the Pope and his bishops.
Prayer, community worship, and acts of charity are essential expressions of faith, reflecting a commitment to love God and serve others. Through this spiritual and moral framework, Catholics seek to live a life aligned with God’s will and reflecting that of Christ.
